English Activities

Our NET team provides a range of fun and stimulating activities for students to enjoy English.

 

Choir – Students learn new vocabulary and improved their pronunciation through singing. They also had a lot of fun along the way!

 

English Ambassadors – Our little English leaders helped P.1-3 students practise their English vocabulary and spelling.

Speaking Club - To motivate students’ interest in speaking English, students have participated in a diverse range of activities, such as presentations and role plays!

 

English Enquiry – Students expanded their vocabulary and learnt to argue and think critically in English in this club.

 

Booster Classes – Students worked on key grammar points to boost their confidence and strengthen their foundation in English.

 

English Drama – Students built their confidence through acting on the stage.

 

Choral Speaking – Students improved their pronunciation, accent and intonation in this club.

 

Creative Media – Students learnt ‘local’ English, slang and native phrases from authentic English media such as TV shows, songs and movies. Students practised through dancing, role playing and singing.

 

Puppetry – Students had a lot of fun preparing for the Puppetry competition. They flexed their creativity by making sock puppets and improved their English during the process.

 

English Musical – Students improved their confidence, vocabulary, teamwork skills and pronunciation through this wonderful production.

 

Reading Bugs – Students enjoyed exploring the world of English books with their NET teacher.

 

English Musical

We are happy to share this year’s English Musical – The Race Within! The story is about a young boy, Dash, who is overconfident and thinks he can easily win his races. Unfortunately, he isn’t quite right about that. Over the course of the musical, Dash learns the importance of hard work and perseverance.

Our students have worked very hard and demonstrated perseverance themselves as they prepared for our English Musical this year. We are proud to see them learning and growing through this collaborative process. Take a look at some of the pictures below to see the highlights!
